Software for all Broadband Access Products
CatenaView™ EMS is a carrier-class Element Management System (EMS) for managing the voice, data, and video services of all CIENA Broadband Access Systems in the CNX-5™ and the CN 1000™ product families from a central remote location. Central operation greatly simplifies network management and reduces capital and operational costs. Remote service activation enables service providers to respond quickly to demands for broadband service
Next-Generation Broadband Access Platform
The first of a new class of broadband access systems, the CN 1000™ Broadband Loop Carrier (BLC) offers service providers a cost-saving approach to broadband service delivery and prepares them to reap the full benefits of the emerging, packet-based public network
For the CN 1000 Next-Generation Broadband Access Platform
The CN 1000 FX Optical Network Unit (ONU) is a cost-effective platform for deployment of high bandwidth, Fiber-to-the-Curb (FTTC) access networks. It is a versatile, small line-size system for newly built “greenfield” neighborhoods, broadband over-build applications and remote, low density rural locations
CWDM, DWDM, 1310 nm and 1550 nm Passive Optical Multiplexer
The CN 2100™ Passive Optical Multiplexer is a scalable ITU grid aligned CWDM, DWDM, 1310 nm and (unspecified) 1550 nm optical filter platform used to unleash stranded capacity in long-haul, metro, local access or cable networks
Hardened CWDM Filters with WaveSplicer™ Technology
The CN 2101™ Hardened CWDM Filters take the concept of field splicing to the next level. Based on CIENA’s WaveSplicer™ thin-film filter technology, the CN 2101 enables service providers to manipulate individual wavelengths in the field, effectively “splicing waves” instead of whole fibers. This new flexibility means that fewer fibers are required to carry services to multiple customer buildings, providing better utilization of the fiber plant
Managed Amplified Optical Add/Drop Multiplexer
The CN 2130™ Managed Amplified Optical Add/Drop Multiplexer enables service providers to extend their service coverage area and manipulate wavelengths along the way. This carrier-grade scalable platform supports up to 40 dense WDM channels and can accommodate one or two amplifier interfaces. The CN 2130 is compliant with NEBS and ETSI environmental standards and is qualified for operation in the most demanding central office environments. This ultra-compact OADM is tailor-made for metro-core applications where space is at a premium
Managed Optical Ethernet Multiplexer
The CN 2200™ Managed Optical Ethernet Multiplexer is a carrier-grade, easy-to-deploy platform designed for Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) service applications. By integrating GbE transport and high speed 10 Gb/s optical networking, the CN 2200 offers a compelling economic model for GbE service delivery through unmatched ease of use, port density, invest-as-you-grow scalability and best-in- class fiber capacity utilization
Managed Optical Services Multiplexer
The CN 2300™ Managed Optical Services Multiplexer is designed for point-to-point, linear add/drop, and ring applications. The CN 2300 SONET/SDH Service Module (SSM) provides managed OC-N/STM-N service delivery at the native rate. Each of the four optical ports can be provisioned for OC-3/STM-1, OC-12/STM-4, or OC-48/STM-16. It can be provisioned to operate as a regenerator section/section repeater or in G.709 digital wrapper modes providing full management for transparent OC-N/STM-N service delivery
Managed Optical Services Switch
The CN 4300™ Managed Optical Services Switch is an operator-class multiservice transport and switching platform that integrates aggregation, cross-connect functions, and WDM capabilities to enable a diverse range of metro service offerings, including Ethernet, storage, and SONET/SDH transport
Modular Broadband Loop Carrier
The CNX-100™ is a small, Modular Broadband Loop Carrier (BLC) that enables carriers to selectively add DSL, POTS+DSL, and video capabilities to the installed base of narrowband Digital Loop Carriers (DLCs). The CNX-100 provides a simple and inexpensive means to expand the DSL footprint and extend the capabilities and shelf life of older DLC equipment
Broadband DSL System
he CNX-5™ Broadband DSL System is a simple, elegant, cost- effective solution that DSL-enables Lucent SLC® Series 5 (SLC-5) Digital Loop Carriers (DLC). This unique approach to DSL deployment enables service providers to deliver both POTS and DSL services on any copper pair without compromising POTS density. The CNX-5 leverages service providers’ investments in installed DLC equipment, providing the most cost-effective solution for delivering DSL services from the DLC. Inexpensive to purchase and install, the CNX-5 expands in two-channel increments and provides T1, Inverse Multiplexing over ATM (IMA) and DS3 network interface options to utilize existing backhaul facilities
