DS-3/EC-1 (STS-1E) Interface Card (known as the ACDEC Interface Card) features individual ports which can be independently provisioned for clear-channel DS-3 (44.736 Mb/s) or SONET Electrical Carrier Level 1 EC-1 (51.84 Mb/s) signals. EC-1 is used by many service providers to connect SONET transmission systems to switching systems.
